Nhat Thanh Lau was built in 1841 under the reign of Emperor Thieu Tri. The building consists of 2 stories, which is the emperor's Buddha Hall in the Forbidden City. At the end of Nguyen Dynasty, this was the place where Tu Cung Grand Empress (Emperor Bao Dai's mother) and the royal concubines used to do the Buddhist chanting, pray for peace, and so on. Nhat Thanh Lau was destroyed in 1947 and In 1968, only the foundation of the building remained. In 2018, Hue Monuments Conservation Centre restored this work.
