Khuong Ninh Cac is located in the Northwest corner of Dien Tho Residence’s main hall. It was constructed in 1831 under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang to worship the Buddha and Genie serving the religious needs of royal ladies. It is a two-storey construction facing the Southwest. The upper storey has five appartments; the lower one has five main appartments and a system of lean-tos surrounding the four sides. The middle appartment of Khuong Ninh Cac Pavilion has an altar keeping three statues of Three Buddhas (Buddha of Past, Present and Future) with the hangings written with three Han characters “Khuong Ninh Cac”. To the left and right of the altar, there are statues of Guan Yu, the God, and Saints.At back of the second storey, there exists the altar of Thien Y a Na Mother-Goddess with the hanging carved with Han charater “Phuoc Tho Am”. The left altar keeps the holy tablets of such princesses as My Tuong, Dien Phuc, who are elder sister and paternal aunt of Emperor Gia Long . The right altar keeps the holy tablet of Hat Boi-Vietnamese traiditional theatrical play. The houses of gong and drum are on the Southwest and Northwest corners.
