The Internal Affairs House is at the Northeast corner of Hue Imperial City, constructed under the reign of Emperor Gia Long with the name “Noi Do Gia” inside Hue Forbidden Purple City. Until the first year of Emperor Minh Mang’s reign (1820), “Noi Do Gia” was renamed as “Phu Noi Vu”. In 1837, Emperor Minh Mang had it removed out of Hue Forbidden Purple City to the present location. It used to be the storehouse, where treasures, money, silk, donates, and etc. serving the Court and royal family were kept. This was a house of logistics of the emperor, and a kind of treasury of the last monarchic country in Vietnam. The Internal Affairs House included different sectors concerning money management, foreman, and so forth. Under the reign of Emperor Gia Long, the House included six sub-storehouses, from the reign of Emperor Minh Mang, four more were added to keep ten kinds of treasures. Under the reign of Emperor Thanh Thai (1889-1906), the Court has a two-storey construction built functioning as the treasury of the Internal Affairs House. In 1936, the House was used to for the Security Troup of the Imperial City.
