The opening ceremony of Hue Festival Week 2024 will be held for the first time at Kien Trung Palace - an important palace among Nguyen Dynasty’s system of palaces. Visitors will experience the uniqueness and freshness from the venue itself, modern technology, artistic staging, and the proud beauty of a heritage site shining brightly at night. The ceremony is a festival of sound and light, showcasing the limitless creativity of artisans and young artists based on the core foundation of the cultural heritage values of the nation and humanity, creating a fresh breeze, a new approach and expression for traditional heritage in contemporary life.

The essence of the Ancient Capital of Hue will shine brightly and proudly with the support of modern technology and invaluable heritages such as Hue Royal Court Music, Lantern dance, images of the Nguyen Dynasty’s Woodblocks and Imperial records, Literature on Hue Royal Architecture, and “Twenty sceneries of the mysterious land”. All these treasures will illuminate through a combination of laser projection, Led Matrix, Hologram, and 3D Mapping on the semi-natural stage set at Kien Trung Palace.
